Every autumn, the small town of Teba — tucked into the hills of the Málaga province — hosts one of the best food festivals in Andalucía. Not the most famous. Not the most touristy. But for anyone who loves cheese, one of the most rewarding.
The festival takes place under an enormous marquee packed with over 50 producers, the vast majority from Spain — and around 80% from the province of Málaga alone. That means you're not browsing an international cheese fair. You're tasting the real thing: small-scale artisanal producers from the surrounding countryside, most of whom you'll never find in a supermarket.
Every style is represented — fresh and creamy, aged and pungent, goat, sheep, cow. Alongside the cheese, you'll find local honey, charcuterie, wine and bread to round out the tasting.
You walk in, you taste what you like, you buy what you love, and you go home with something genuinely special.
HOW IT WORKS
- Wander freely through the marquee at your own pace
- Sample cheeses from 50+ producers
- Buy direct from the makers — prices are excellent
- Combine with a stroll through the town of Teba or up to the beautiful castle
